ANZAC baking

Yesterday my class made some ANZAC cookies First we washed our hands then we go in to small groups of about 3 or 4 then we put the wet ingredients in to a bowl and mix them all up then we melted some butter and golden syrup in a bowl then stered that in to the mix after we did that we mixed some water and baking soda  in with the dry ingredients  with the wet then we had to roll the mix in our hands in to small ball then put it on the tray then we made about 10 cookies  on our tray but there was lots of groups  so there was so many cookies  because there was so many we are going to give them to grager house that is an oldaly house


We also made some art work about anzac day first we got black grey and white paint for the background then we let the paint dry then we got some  pastels and we drew some popeyes on the paper here is some example of the art work

End of term 1 2019

Hello this year is really good so far I really like it.  I have the best teacher  and she always has fun thing planned for us. My favorite part of this term has been going to brunner mine that was so fun to learn about mining stuff and going to the graveyard where most of the men got berred     


I really enjoyed it another thing that I really like was teck I have been in wood work and  technology I really like wood work because we made wooden tongs we got to design the look of the tongs then cut the  wood out and then drill holes and sand little pieces of off it was really cool  then when we were done we were allowed to take then home and try them out.

The most important thing I learnt was how to do was to be kind caring and not to leave people out and don't be mean just to be nice.

whats on the news this week

Each year, there's carnage on our Kiwi roads, and it seems to be getting worse.

                                                                                              A tragic ten days from March 29 to April 7, 2019 saw 28 people die from road crashes  and many more were injured that is a lot  of people it short amount of time. Five of those who lost their lives during that horrific period were from the same family.  

In 2018, 377 people died on our roads. That was just one down on the total for 2017, which had the highest road toll since 2009. Already, there have been 112 road deaths this year Police are calling on the public to stay safe over the Easter period, and are committed to reducing the number of road deaths  Truck driver Antony Alexander is one of the many people who have called for people to slow down, for more cops to be out on our roads, and for safer roads in general. 

I really hope that no one else dies from car accidents again it would be really really scary and terribly sad  

maths DLO

Hello Today I done a DLO on the maths that I have recently done so you can learn how to do it as well here is the slide that me and friends made together it was pretty fun to make so I hope that you learn something from this.

West coast slide

Hello today I finished my west coast slide we we have been doing this for a couple days now and I am finally done we had  lots  of questions about the west coast of new zealand and if we did not know the answer we had to do some research about the question and find the answer I did that for a couple of questions. pumpkin soup

Today we are making pumpkin soup  we had to go in groups of 3 or 4 them one person from our group had to go pick one pumpkin then we went to the tech center at our school.  we cut the pumpkin in half then we carve the inside of the pumpkin out and got all of the seeds out then we get to cut some garlic up them some onions after we do that then we cut a little tiny bit  from the bottom of the pumpkin  so it can stand up properly when we put it in the oven then we sprilk the salt and pepper then we put it in the tray then put it in the oven for 2 hours then we will take them out and wait till they cool down a bit then put it in a food processor and it will tern in to the yummy  pumpkin soup    here is some of our photos of the making of the pumpkin soup hope you like them 😂
