For the last couple of weeks we have been doing some work around world war 2 for one of the task that we have done we were asked to put some facts about concentration camps I made mine of a google drawing here is my work that I have done I hope that you learn some new facts that you may not of known before

Hello this week my class has been focusing on using compasses when looking at a map we were all asked to make our own map with directions and locations I did 6 locations and two different paths to follow

Maths art work

Hello, This week we have been working on enlarging objects for this task we were asked to pick a cartoon character and enlarge it on to a piece of paper, we drew out some lines on top of our character that were 1 cm and and then some on our big piece of paper my squares were 6 centimetres. I enlarged twenty bird here is a photo. This was a really fun task to do and did not take a long time to complete.

 

Solar system

Hello here is another matariki tasks that I have completed. I was asked to write some facts about the solar system and this is what I have done. I hope that you learn somethings that you did not all ready know. This was a really interesting task to research  I learnt a lot of new things about the solar system  .

Persuasive Writing

Hello This week were were asked to make a persuasive piece of writing on if videogames are harmful or helpful and i believe that they are harmful what do you think ? here is my persuasive writing  

A lot of people stay inside and play video games and don't do anything productive and i think they are bad for anyone. Do you think that videogames are bad ??? because i definitely do what do you think ???

I believe that videogames are harmful because you can get addicted to them and be stuck inside playing video games some video games can encourage bad behavior and fighting

Firstly Videogames Are addicted because people all around the world of all ages stay inside playing video games and don't do anything productive in there life . Most video games encourage bad behavior and fighting. Keith Diaz, an associate research scientist at the Columbia University Department of Medicine, has found that if you are sitting for a long period of time playing video games it encourages bad behaviors and can encourage early death

Some video games can help your hand eye coordination and helps improve your brain speed it can also help with your social skills when you talk to people online. Some games really help with your problem solving skills and working with a group some videogame are a great source of learning

Lastly, a study from the united states has said most video games make children more creative with learning such as minecraft, fortnite, Robloxs and many many more. There are more and more people playing video games everyday. Some people make a lot of money by playing video games by doing live streams and any people from all around the world can watch and give the person money and tips

In my opinion i think that videogames are bad because… when you play videogames most people get addicted to them also most video games encourage bad behavior and fighting but then some games you can learn things and learn problem solving and hand eye cordanishin

Current events

We did a current events quiz today we were ask to blog about one of the questions that we did So this week in the news the new boss of virgin galactic has said that  People will be taken into space on commercial flights - The tickets are not cheap  however, with a price of one ticket is costing NZ$379,504 for a 90-minute flight. Six hundred people have already signed up to go to space 

They have wanted to do this for years but going to space did not carry a third person as a passenger until February 2019, when a member of the team sat in a flight that reached 89.9 kilometres (55.9 mi).

Transformations DLO

This week are learning how to translate and reflect shapes and I have made A DLO to show you how but its kind of a game. You have to try get the blue square into the green square but you can only do that by translation (going up, down, left, right) or reflecting the shape across the x and y axis or rotation the shape. Please comment below when you know the answer so I can tell you if your right or wrong .

Fraction think board

WALT  Read, write and show fractions in different ways

Today we did maths and we did fractions. This is the work we did. This took about 20 minuets to do and I liked doing it. I think the one when I had to do the number line was the hardest one because it was hard to create the number line but then Mrs P helped me.  The fraction of a shape and the equivalent fractions was the easiest to do. 

The one with milkshakes was really fun to do. I liked doing that one because the milkshake looks really good they all were really cool. I liked doing this activity it was cool way to show my learning about fractions.  My next learning step is to do another one independently and make it look my interesting .  
     

Nessie

Today I finished my Nessie activity so what you had to do is draw Nessie. Nessie is a thing people have seen in the water in Scotland.  It is a like a snake dinosaur that lives in water. I think that Nessie is real because it sounds real and in the photos it looks really real to me .  This is what I think Nessie might look like.
