Hello Today we looked at our blogs. We looked at what we have been blogging about, what types of posts we have been creating and how many posts we have done. I found that I have not been posting enough blog posts as we are aiming or 2 a week. I am proud of all the literacy posts that I have done this year. My goal is to do more blogging and also a  blog X post this term because I have only done 22 blog post this whole term. the main blog post that I have done are  literacy post like reading and writing so I am going to do a lot more creative post

We  had this work to complete first you have to pick a photo of something you did  on camp I picked  one of the photos of in us being in the hot pool and then I  put it in the middle on the hook menu and you had to write down some things happening in the photo

We are learning to write an explanation to explain a scientific phenomenon. what we have to do is Write an explanation that explains why and how the water gets hot in the hot pools at Hanmer. the reason we are doing this work is because we went to hamner for our camp this year so we wanted to know why and how the water was hot here is the writing I did on this

Hello every today I am going  to teach you how the hot pools in hanmer are hot  so when you go there you will know how the water is hot In the little town hamner there are some natural hot pools there that you can go to and relax over the time they have built a couple hydro slides,lazy river,lap pools and they have got a nice cafe there now where you can get pizzas and lot of other stuff. Here is hot the pools are hot New zealand is in the start of the ring of fire the ring of fire is a ring that goes over some countries and corse’s some big earthquakes and bad volcanoes and    in New Zealand the main fault is called the alpine fault and over the years the ground will crack and the rainwater will go down the crack and the water is 2 km down under ground it is so close to the earth core the water get very very hot it will take about 180 years for the water to come back up to go in to the hot pool the people that own the hot pools have put a long pipe down so the water will get sucked up and it will not take as long for the water to come back up New zealand is in the ring of fire that means there is tectonic plates that move and crash together then when it rains and snows the water will go down the cracks from the earth quakes and it will go down into a little pond and the water is so close to the plates the water will heat up and rise up and that's how we have hot pools

Blog X Swimming

Hello everyone, we are doing BlogX where you join a blogging team with others who have similar interests as you.  I picked swimming because I do swimming every Monday. I go to  swimming lessons and they go for 30 mins. I'm in level 8 and there is 10 levels so I have 2 more levels until I am in squads which is  competitive swimming. It's really hard! I am learning how to do butterfly at the moment. We have learnt the kick of it but we just need to put it all together. My group  has about 5 other people and it is pretty fun because you learn something nearly every day. My swimming teacher is Cameron, he is really nice.

today I made a map on where we are going to go for our camp we are going to hammer springs for two nights and here is the way we will be traviling 

ANZAC baking

Yesterday my class made some ANZAC cookies First we washed our hands then we go in to small groups of about 3 or 4 then we put the wet ingredients in to a bowl and mix them all up then we melted some butter and golden syrup in a bowl then stered that in to the mix after we did that we mixed some water and baking soda  in with the dry ingredients  with the wet then we had to roll the mix in our hands in to small ball then put it on the tray then we made about 10 cookies  on our tray but there was lots of groups  so there was so many cookies  because there was so many we are going to give them to grager house that is an oldaly house


We also made some art work about anzac day first we got black grey and white paint for the background then we let the paint dry then we got some  pastels and we drew some popeyes on the paper here is some example of the art work
