Celebrating My Success 2018

Here is my celebrating my success slide I have been finishing off for the last week. This slide shows the work I am proud of and the successes and memorable moments from my year in Mamaku 2.  I have had fun doing this so I hope you like it. I think that it was really fun to make. What are you proud of from this year?

Research Term 4 Week 4

Hello 
I have finished my Guy Fawkes work and here it is. We made these because it was Guy Fawkes last week so here is my work on Guy Fawkes. We had to tell the reader why we have Guy Fawkes and do research  on why we have firework day. It was really interesting what we found and hopefully you learn something today from the work that I did.

Writing

Today I finished my writing on a fairy tale and make it your own but keep  some of the characters and make their personality different so I picked the fairy tale  Little Red Riding Hood and changed the name to Little Blue Ridding Hood and in my story she is bad and the wolf is good and granny is bad too so here is my writing I hope you enjoy it I think it is good but maybe next time I could add some new charters in the story that I make

There was a wolf a granny and a little girl called little blue riding hood  she was very bad not many people liked her because she eats people. And then one day she went to the wolfs house and he was so scared about that he did not  open the door but she new the wolf was in there so she smashed down the door and said do you want to be eaten and he rang granny to come over and then he hang up but then little blue riding hood  ate him and then granny ran in and said what the hell are you doing and then little blue riding hood ate her too but then she spit her back out and she said I am really sorry about that and she said that's okay but don't do again but then the wood chopper came in so granny ate him in second later there was a old man named Greg and he was little blue riding hood's dad  he was a really nice man everybody in town loved him because he was so kind and nice. So one day 7 years ago Greg turned bad then little blue riding hood turned bad then all of the people that lived in the town would not even be on the same street as him because he was starting to eat people and that's the day little red riding hood started to be bad but then the wood copper came into there house one day and chopped the door down and said I am sick of you eating our people that live in this town so he ate Greg and then little blue riding hood and the town lived happily ever after the End

Prep 2018

This week is PrEP and I love it so far!
So I am the CEO of my group that means that I am the boss and I make sure that the people in my group are dong the right thing. We are making jars with faces on them and mystery envelopes. We have all ready had the little market and we sold out. That was really good!  We sell the mystery  envelopes for 5 and the jars are 6. Here is a photo of our stuff. We have a lot of people in our group, we have me, Summer, Zyah Baylee , Saamiya, Tom, Lachlan and Hannah . My group is called arts and crafts.                                               Thanks for looking at my work.

Maths Self assess

Today I finished my self assess maths work so what we had to do is  Go through each of the learning goals and use the traffic light system to show where you at with each goal initially.

Green - can do this well

Orange- need some more practice but can do this

Red - Stop, I cannot yet do this Choose four goals to focus on during our unit study.  Highlight the goals purple.During our unit collect evidence towards these goals and link two pieces in the columns provided.  We will do some activities altogether and you can also be self selecting activities from the stations slide or maths buddy to help you achieve your goals. this was easy to do and will help me with my work

Yesterday I finished my show not tell writing it did not take that long to do but I liked doing it I got a bit stuck at the start because I did not know what to write down but then I got heaps down so here is my writing we had to do a plan before we started so there is a  photo of that too if you were wondering why some of the writing is high lighted it is because what we did in the plan we had to highlight in the peace of writing that I did

This week I finished my maths problem solving activity. So what you had to do is Decide what the important information is in the problem.

Record the equation or equations it is asking you to solve.

Yesterday I finished my writing on a giraffe. We got a photo to write about so here is my writing. It was sort of hard to get started and think what might have happened before this photo however I liked doing this writing. Here is the photo that we got to write about. Fraction think board

WALT  Read, write and show fractions in different ways

Today we did maths and we did fractions. This is the work we did. This took about 20 minuets to do and I liked doing it. I think the one when I had to do the number line was the hardest one because it was hard to create the number line but then Mrs P helped me.  The fraction of a shape and the equivalent fractions was the easiest to do. 

The one with milkshakes was really fun to do. I liked doing that one because the milkshake looks really good they all were really cool. I liked doing this activity it was cool way to show my learning about fractions.  My next learning step is to do another one independently and make it look my interesting .  
     

What is a Fairy Tale?

WALT: Identify and locate fairy tales in the library

This week we did what a fairy tale is ? So what we had to do is we went to to the library and we had to find a fairy tale.  It took quite a long time to find one mainly because we looked in the fiction section when they are actually in the non fiction section. I did find one in the end. I found Jack and the Beanstalk.  Once we had found a fairy tale we had to work out what features made it a fairy tale and not just a fiction story so here is my work I did on what is a fairy tale. 

Nessie

Today I finished my Nessie activity so what you had to do is draw Nessie. Nessie is a thing people have seen in the water in Scotland.  It is a like a snake dinosaur that lives in water. I think that Nessie is real because it sounds real and in the photos it looks really real to me .  This is what I think Nessie might look like.

Prep letter

Today I finished my prep letter to get the job I want for Prep. If you don't know what Prep is it is when each class in the school makes something then you get paid for making that thing then you can bye things from other class and who ever makes the most money wins an award the money is fake. every body makes a note of money and the principal picks the best one each class makes a different  note  to make the one person wins in each class 
This was cool to make and good to get done 
but maybe next time I could make it more colourful and fun

This week we did writing a description on what  our personal treasure is. Here is my description. This was fun to do and I liked doing it. Maybe next time I could make my visual presentation more fun and interesting. I think I did a great job of this writing because I have lots of detail.

This week I  did a drawring   of the one and only ivan house of where he lives in the mall  so here is a photo of my work . I thort this was  fun and cool to make (do) . we all so had to write something about my drawring so i put some text boxs so you could see what I write better . it tock me about 30 mainits to finish the drawring of the one and only ivans house

hello today we had a science fair a lot of diffract class's came in to have a look at what we did it was really fun to make we made plants we had to do one thing diffract about  them and my friends  did milk and lemonade also water to water them the water worked best the the milk then the lemonade  were pretty good they grew a little bit. Also it was mufti  day that's why we are not wearing our school uniform. I also made that Scientist with paint that was fun that I got to do this.

This week was book week and i was sandy from grease it was fun getting that ready to do and all of the class's did a book to do on there wall we won that that was really cool we did Winey the witch we had to make birds to put in the big tree we made i helped make that with some over people in our class i all so helped to make the big cat that was fun and we did lots of art this week i loved it because i love art so much so here is a Animoto that i made for book week so you can see that on the link book week so this week was fun .

This week my class went on camp I  decided that I did not want to go so I stayed in M2 for 1/2  of the week in M1 for the rest of the week and what I did was we went out side and we had to write down what we can see what we can hear and had a big list of things like trees bush leaves  and so so much more we had to be in little groups and I was with Maya and Summer they also did not want to go on camp so they stayed with me in M1 and M2 and this week my class went to Tehiringa and we got 3 words to pick from and I pick roto  witch means in so here is  a photo of my work  that I did.

Problem Solving

Topic Sentence: the nikau palm tree is a beautiful  plant in the nature of new zealand The nïkau palm is a tree  to New Zealand and i was found in the North Island and the northern South Island from the Marlborough Sounds and Nelson south to near Okarito in the west and Banks Peninsula near Christchurch in the east
